Your result for The Who Would You Be in 1400 AD Test...

The Usurper

You scored 71% Cardinal, 13% Monk, 35% Lady, and 51% Knight!

You have both the lust for war of the Knight and the wicked morals of the Cardinal. You are truly a dangerous one who likes power and will stop at nothing to get it. If the king dares stand in the way of your ambitions you will have no qualms about removing him from the throne and placing yourself there instead.

You scored high as both the Knight and the Cardinal. You can try again to get a more precise description of either the Cardinal or the Knight, or you can be happy that you're an individual.

Today I got the most wonderful news.

I will have one of my own knitted sock designs published on a national level. YAY ME!

I know, you are sitting there thinking I am crazy, but really I am not. I have knitted since I was 3 and designed my own stuff since I was about 6.

I entered a contest on the urging of E, and today was the deadline.

I got home tonight to find an email, that 4 people had won the contest and one of the names was my first name! So I went hunting through email and sure enough there it was. An email saying Congratulations YOU WON!....and whats even better, I had made some suggestions about the yarn line the pattern was for and they are going to implement them asap.

I am so giddy I can hardly breathe. Yippee.....

Shamless plug for awesome stuff...

Click for Mammograms

  • Jun. 15th, 2008 at 2:37 PM

Hi everyone,

This month the Click for Free Mammograms is trying to reach 8 million clicks in order that one of the major sponsors will donate $10000 towards free mammograms.

As of today they are about half way there. So please, take some time and do some clicking.

http://www.thebreastcancersite.com/clickToGive/home.faces?siteId=2

You can click as many times as possible. But if you're like me, you want to be quick about this, so here is the keyboard shortcut to get back to the click page fast.

Press the ALT+ <- (left arrow key) together to jump back to the click page without having to move your mouse. And if you place your cursor over the click button and hit enter, your click will be recorded.

I am trying to click at least 50 times per day. The challenge is only on until June 30.

Please help out. Cancer is such an awful disease, especially for women with breast cancer.

thanx

Your Score: Friend-of-Geek

You scored 35 out of 60

Having geeks for friends and coworkers isn't a new thing for you, is it? You've been dragged along to quite a few feats of geek media in your time. You could probably still stand to watch a few more movies and shows, but chances are that you know what your geek friends are talking about at least half the time.

If you do think of yourself as a geek, you probably need to expand your library a bit. You may have missed some of the basics.

Life crossings

Have you ever had the occasion to have 2 really great friends from different parts of your life, that live in the same city, love the same things, and would probably be a great friends/couple? How do you get these two together?

Here's the story..... I have a friend from high school that lives in Ottawa. She is single, by choice, loves animals, is a nurse, loves the theatre and was a dramoid in highschool. She liked the goth scene and loves to socialize. She is beautiful, intelligent and is trying to live a green lifestyle.

Now I have a friend from the SCA who also lives in Ottawa who is currently single. He is tall, handsome, loves to socialize. He loves theatre and performing. He is intelligent and looking for a new direction in life.

So here I am thinking, these two should meet. I think they would have a great time together and both could use friends in their lives that are outside their normal circle.

Maybe I should just keep my nose out of it. Maybe I should do something? Oh I don't know.....

shakira......soon
On April 11, 2008, Elrik the Bastard will be turning 39.

Normally he doesn't acknowledge his birthday but this year, I have fixed it for him and I to be with some really cool people to celebrate his day.

So if you are of a mind, flood his email with birthday notes on that day. Tell him he's a bastard and he will laugh, or just wish him well.

The email to be flooded is elrikthebastard@gmail.com

How Old is Your Inner Child?

My inner child is one year old!

Everything is new to me. I like watching the world go by around me, and I don't sweat the small stuff--or the large stuff, either. Just so long as I stay warm and safe and dry, life's pretty good.

Why is it, when people are nice, others take advantage????

When an inch is given just take it... not a mile. Be happy you got that and respect the fact that the person doing the giving was nice enough to let you have it.

PLEASE PEOPLE!

WW X...... A New Beginning

  • Mar. 3rd, 2008 at 12:03 PM

I sit here totally pooped but very grateful for having been able to travel to WW X for several reasons:

1) I got the immense privilege of participating in my awesome friend's elevation. I am very honored to have been asked to speak on her behalf. GOOD GO!

2) I also got the honor of carrying the "family mantle" during her elevation even though there were other family members that could have done it. So thank you V for trusting me with that task.

3) I got to spend some much needed friend time with all the people I care for. Things have been really shitty lately but this weekend made up for all of that. Thank you to ada_doom and gann for the ride and accommodations. Thank you to Thorsteinn for the talk and just being you. To Mav and Grim, thank you for just being awesome. And last but not least, thanx to Skal and Wil for making me laugh.

4) I got to talk to some family household members and catch up which is always a good thing. Hugs to nfdaughter and helly. Best wishs to Sig and his new attraction. Even though we might not see each other frequently, its nice to have family to lean on.

5) The Northern Merger has officially happened and we are now one big happy gang. So a new chapter has begun in the North. I will work harder than ever, to make sure the game stays fun!

COME TO THE UBERSHIRE......WE HAVE BEER AND FOOD!

I probably forgotten something, but right now my bed calls. Hugs to all.

Tonsils .... who needs em anyway!

  • Feb. 21st, 2008 at 6:20 AM

Today Shea is going in to have his tonsils taken out.

OH yeah! A whole day at the hospital. A whole day of running into people. A whole day of worry if everything will be okay.

EVERYTHING WILL BE JUST FINE!

Popsicles, jello, juice, and ice cream are ready to be served!

UPDATE: Shea's surgery went fine. Tonsils and adnoids gone forever. He tried really hard to clean them out of red freezies.

Shea is currently sucking back chocolate ice cream and more popiscles...... ice cream for dinner too.

OHHH TO BE A KID AGAIN!
